MAGIX is a software company that has been creating titles since 1993, and they have many music and video applications available. We check out many of its features in this review. So after all beside all fancy other daws, samplitude looks ugly and old but it just works.Samplitude Pro X2 is a powerful DAW, with lots of horsepower under the hood and great plugins to match. I also like studio one v2 a lot for writing but it performs poorly on the same machine for heavy multitrack recording, plugin compatibility, dropouts during editing and strange artifacts in some bounces. That might lead to the impression that it could sound better for some cause it leads fast to a good overall sound. Often the "not so pro" clients came around with very flat mixes from other daws with their stockplugins and it suprises me every time how easy we can pimp up their mixes with just the samplitude plugins, and that fast without any hazzle. It does not sound any better a priori at all but you can do really good mixes with only the daw itself while with others you often need an extra plugin here and a wavelab there to finish the project.

Though the new pro x2 update is nothing to write home about, I like the fast boot up, the good overall cpu performance, really stable recording, and the stand out hq stock plugins with the amazing vandal amp.

I also think ( and tested it ) that all the newer 32 bit float daw engines can and should sound the same. I find that disgusting, and that is a large part of interacting with the software it appears.
Regardless of that, it could be 'as simple as' going 4 menus deep and clicking 5 times in Samplitude. You simply add a new track, select Aux Input. It's the exact same as it is in Samplitude! (open mixer, select insert, done).Īux tracks are even simpler.

Xmas time guys! peaceI can't understand how it would be difficult to figure out how to insert a plugin in pro tools. Magix was a lot more intuitive at least for me
man you really nedd to have some sort of "course" LOL. everything at my finger tips.Īnd lets say protools. Some folks love mixcraft, other hate protools, and many others love magix samplitude or sequoia.īecausde if you cant "produce" and get quick results with your "workstation" you are in such a big problem.īy the way i love the samplitude. maybe it is for you.īut if you get a daw based on the other folks reviews.and all the marketing and functionality. When talking about daw.is simple as it is. If it's buggy like a person here said, then they'd better get fixin'. I'm just here to say congrats to Samplitude for another step forward with X2. I'll describe POW-R as the sound of cigarettes & whiskey and 元 as a Sunday at the malt shop.Īlso Samplitude always loved my control surfaces and never gave me a hassle. In my case the POW-R algos sounded the best and Waves 元 tied for #1 favorite. Waited months till my brain and ears forgot. Then dithered using anything I could get my hands on. A couple years ago I made a collage of everything I like in 88.2khz and 96khz. Same with Samplitude.īut that POW-R dithering. Video realm, SONY Vegas has a fully-functioning trial. In the graphics realm, Photoshop has a month trial. Although I griped about Reaper lately that's not the one. I've spent a month fighting their intermittent licensing to the point of worrying about a 2nd heart attack.
There's another major DAW out there that I'm licensed at work. Get main computer fixed and import project. What is so great/rare about the licensing system?Fully functioning trial and the confidence if something catastrophic happens to your computer system you can load the trial on any computer and set it up.
